01If standing pressure drops, is a second tablet the fix?
No. Once per day is the cap. A second tadalafil tablet is not the labelled answer to dizziness after a large pour. The chart still has to stay empty of nitrates. Priapism over 4 hours is a separate emergency and is not treated by another swallow.
02What does the label count as five units?
The US Cialis patient information names 5 units as 5 glasses of wine or 5 shots of whiskey. That load, taken with tadalafil, increased orthostatic dizziness, headache, and heart rate, and it lowered standing blood pressure. The warning sits on that count. It is not a free pass under five glasses.
One tablet a day is still the cap. Alcohol is not a reason to take a second tadalafil tablet, and tadalafil is not a reason to pour a larger drink.
03Does food soak up the five-unit warning?
A meal does not cancel the alcohol line. Food also does not change tadalafil absorption. Those are two different sentences. The meal sentence is on Cialis and food.
04Does age tighten the alcohol line?
Healthy elderly men had a 25% higher AUC. Cmax did not change. The label does not cut the dose for age alone. It also does not write a smaller unit count for age. Renal, hepatic, and CYP3A4 lines still change the written strength.
05What if an alpha-blocker is already on the chart?
Alpha-blockers are a third blood-pressure line, not a pour count. When CIALIS is added for erectile dysfunction, the person should already be stable on the alpha-blocker, and CIALIS starts at the lowest recommended dose. CIALIS is not recommended with an alpha-blocker for BPH.
Alcohol plus an alpha-blocker plus tadalafil is still three pressure stories on one chart. The five-unit example does not replace the blocker rule, and the blocker rule does not replace the five-unit example.
06Is riociguat on the same stop as alcohol?
Riociguat, a guanylate cyclase stimulator, is a contraindication with tadalafil, the same family of stop as organic nitrates. Alcohol is not written as that contraindication. It stays the five-unit standing-pressure warning. Do not treat a pour as if it cleared riociguat off the chart.
07Is alcohol the same stop as a nitrate?
No. Nitrates - nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, and poppers such as amyl nitrite - are a contraindication. If a nitrate later looks medically necessary, at least 48 hours should pass after the last CIALIS dose, with close monitoring. That stop already lives on the daily-stock clip. This page does not reopen it.
Alcohol is listed as an interaction that can drop standing pressure. It is not written as a nitrate. Alpha-blockers are a third, separate blood-pressure conversation on the written order.
08Does the daily 5 mg tablet change the alcohol line?
The five-unit warning is written for tadalafil, not for one route only. Daily 5 mg and as-needed 10 or 20 mg both sit under that standing-pressure note. The daily bottle does not buy a larger pour. See daily or as needed for the two routes.
09Is dizziness after a drink the same as a four-hour erection?
No. Orthostatic dizziness after a large pour is the alcohol interaction. An erection lasting more than 4 hours is a labelled emergency. Those two events are not treated as the same visit. A second tadalafil tablet is not the answer to either one.
